There isn't much to say of Etienne's early days. Born before the Seventh Umbral Calamity, Etienne spent his days as a relatively unknown son of a relatively unknown house--mostly because the head of House Corveau was largely regarded by the rest of the nobility as a laughingstock to be ignored. The Wynn family consists of a man, woman, and two children; Etienne and Celestine, so close in appearence they could be twins. The family does as all Ishgardiian families do at the time: the son goes to war and the daughter runs the household when illness takes over their mother's life.War, war never changes; it is clashing steel and roaring dragons. Etienne's fear of heights keeps him from the ranks of Dragoons and his feet firmly on the ground. Sword and shield are his allies and in turn he protects his fellow men and women until a drake takes his eye. He relearns how to fight, how to be more cautious. He finds himself strangely good at the two handed greatswords. Etienne lives and breathes the war, but in his down time writes. He scribles on any scrap of parchment he can. Words get carved into the forzen earth and vanish beneath the snow. He misses music and crafts a pan flute from broken furniture to raise the spirits of him and those around him. He never rises in the ranks and has no wish too.Etienne just wants to see the next sunrise.Then the war is over and Ishgard is reborn.

Etienne flees Ishgard. He's kept in contact with a cousin who has sent him letters about the world beyond the cool, frozen gates and Etienne must see it.
He takes his little pension after the war and his allotment for his disability and spends it all exploring Eorzea. When he hits the coast he finds a ship and he goes East. As he goes he continues writing. Back in Ishgard a tiny bookshop known for its more eclectic tastes publishes small collections of his work. He seems to be just popular enough under his alias that it helps fund his adventures.He explores the East with no intention of returning home, not until a letter arrives. Father has passed after spending the family coin on every conceivable method of curing what ails his wife. His sister needs help.Etienne returns to Ishgard.

Common Knowledge// Former knight turned adventurer after the war. He recently returned to Ishgard to help his aging mother and started a bartending job at a new establishment, Le Renard Argente .
Common Knowledge// House Wynn--A subset of High House Foretemps, nobles only by the slimmest of margins due to land purchase and long gone merchent wealth. House Wynn isn't an often talked of house but it is known for a few things; former master wood wind instrument craftsmen, green eyes, and a taste for the arts. The decline of the house is the only thing now talked about and even that is boring; a husband trying to heal his wife and wasting every coin in search of hope. Now there is almost nothing left.

He and his great sword have been on the outskirts of skirmishes with the Garleans on accident. Tam Lin

There's a beast living inside Etienne.A recent awakening as brought Etienne to the discovery of a dark creature living inside of him. On the surface level basic aetherical readings might detect a spot of void energy about Etienne's ruined eye. A deeper, more powerful scan might show the sleeping voidsent lord residing there.Or he was sleeping.For reasons unknown to Etienne, Tam Lin hates all forms of intimacy. Pleasures of the flesh are no longer allowed to Etienne lest Tamlin wake again.UPDATE: Tam and Eti are slowly coming to an accord and are seeking those with void knowledge that might enable them to deal with the constant, painful fluctuations of aether they suffer from.
